I’ve been trying to convince my husband to let us pick the dandelion greens on our lawn, but he’s more about mowing them down before they grow into giants. I can’t believe I’ve never heard that story about Uncle Steve before. So useful, as is your recipe. My father-in-law was just observing last weekend how very many dandelions we have access to.

Who finishes Sula and doesn’t finish Song of Solomon? That seems deliberately perverse to me. Is deliberately perverse redundant?

I did not introduce myself to Yusef Komunyakaa, who I very much worshiped and and *once* stood next to buying coffee on campus…
Those creative writing classes were overrated anyway…FULL of book-finisher types! (Though I just did poetry, perhaps the fiction was WILD!)
