Chocolate Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch fine sea salt

Instructions

In a small pot, heat the cream and corn syrup over medium heat until simmering. Simmer for two minutes. Off the heat, add chocolate chips, vanilla and salt. Let sit for two minutes, then stir to melt chocolate completely. 

Sauce can be used immediately, but it thickens up nicely if left to sit. I prefer using it just slightly warm or at room temperature.
